Double Machine Learning for Panel Data: Exploring How Peace Agreements Impact Violence Levels
Take a look at what my colleague and I did for our Master's thesis.
We used Double Machine Learning to find the impact of peace deals on violence levels while
adapting the DML method specifically for panel data.
Mapping Buildings from the Sky with a U-Net Neural Network
This was a fun little project where I built a U-Net model to segment images, focusing on spotting buildings in aerial photos.
The model learns to identify patterns and edges to create accurate masks of buildings. It’s a great example of using deep learning
for tasks like urban planning or disaster management while working with some pretty challenging image data.
